Bindi Sergardi is the union of two ancient families, the Bindi, from the Chiusi area, and the Sergardi, from Siena. Today, the winery is the symbiosis of the two families. This wine is the one that best represents this symbiosis: Merlot from the Chiusi estate and Cabernet Sauvignon from Siena.

Vineyards: Merlot – the Sorbino vineyards on the Marcianella estate in the township of Chiusi. Cabernet
Sauvignon – the parcel 91 vineyard on the Mocenni estate in the township of Castelnuovo Berardenga.
Exposure: Chiusi: West, South West; Castelnuovo Berardenga: South,South West.
Soil for the Cabernet Sauvignon: Alberese and Galestro, sand 33%, clay 33%, silt 33%
Soil for the Merlot: silt 50%, clay 35%, sand 15%
Vinification and aging: Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats and maceration lasted for
18 – 20 days at a controlled temperature of 28/30°C. Shortly after malolactic fermentation the wine
was transferred into oaken barriques (50% new) where it was aged for approximately 18 months. Once
bottled, the wine remained for a further 12 months stored on the estate for refinement.
Tasting notes: intense ruby red colour. An ample and complex bouquet. More evident are the accents
of mature red fruit, cinnamon, cassis, and toasted hazelnut; hint of incense. In the mouth an expression
of volume, sweetness and softness, all at the same time. An important structure of excellent tannins. It is
wonderful expression of Merlot and Cabenret Sauvignon planted in the Chianti are. Improves with aging
